PET SEMATARY 1989
Rachel Creed original plaster face mold used to create the prosthetic worn by actress Denise Crosby in the film Pet Sematary Directed by Mary Lambert and based on the Stephen King novel.
This comes directly from Academy Award Winning makeup effects artist David Leroy Anderson. Anderson and his father worked on the film and created all the makeup effects for the film back in 1988.
The mold is made up of 2 interlocking pieces that when sandwiched together with foam latex will create a prosthetic that would perfectly fit Crosby’s face. One half of the mold is a life cast of the actresses face, and the other is the gory flesh wound that would show an exposed skull and eye socket. This was used to make the screen used prosthetic.
